Rvinyl Review: Jeep Grand Cherokee Chrome Trim

1999-2010 Jeep Grand CherokeeRvinyl Reviews the 1999-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The current generation Jeep Grand Cherokee has been going strong without major changes since 1999. The newest body style is a little bit softer but still attractive version of the past design. Although the wheelbase continues to be the same, overall length is up by 4 inches and the width is enhanced a few inches wide, as well, leading to more freight and traveler room. And Jeep smartly moved the extra from the freight box to under the back floor, liberating up baggage space.

A new overhead-cam with high horse power and 295 lb-ft of torque make the Grand Cherokee a powerful ride. Auto trannies are standard on all engines, but the V8’s transmission has another gear “between” second and third that enhances moving performance at higher rates of speed. Quadra-Drive now joins Selec-Trac and Quadra-Trac and has the ability to deliver all the energy to a single wheel if the other three have no hold.

Chrome looks particularly nice on Jeeps probably because chrome trim just screams luxury while Jeeps are the epitome of ruggedness. These are pretty awesome accessories and Putco splits them up into 1999 through 2004 and 2005 through 2010. Like all Putco accessories they are made in Iowa and come with a Putco Lifetime Warranty. What’s more they are made from super-durable ABS chrome which resists the elements and applies in a snap.

So, take alook at the photos and let us know what you think.
